Let's Study!
September 2010
We are attempting to encourage our readers to send us their outlook and perspectives on the lesson scriptures through our "Contact Us" page and then we will answer questions and respond to statements in the text format of the lesson. This we believe will give everyone interested an opportunity to participate in the lesson. We will also structure conference call Bible Classes in the very near future.
"You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me. But you are not willing to come to me that you may have life."
(John 5:39-40) NKJV
We speak of tolerance in regards to religion, sexuality, gender and of course race/race relations; yet we have dispelled the notion that Jesus never told us to tolerate anyone, His instructions were that we should LOVE one another. I may tolerate many people and many things but it does not mean that I have the Agape type of love that Yashua (JESUS) commanded us to have one for the other. Our religiosity has outpaced our spirituality in so many ways that we have become self righteous instead of gracious and merciful to each other when we fall short in our promises and our experiences. So our task then is to take up our cross and follow Jesus insomuch as we speak, treat and deal with our neighbor. We fall short in this task because we often have lost sight or may have never attained a complete understanding of what our personal cross may be. My struggle is not necessarily yours and yours is not necessarily mine, nevertheless we all struggle and want to improve. Our daily improvement should not impede nor should it be a burden to others. As we educate our minds with the logos and it becomes Rhema word let us not forget some of the basic truths of education.
The great philosopher Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) stated that "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." Let us continue to strive towards the perfection attained in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as with our neighbor. Henry David Thoreau wrote "I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of a man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor." I agree that we must be consciously moving forward through positive and love foundated action yet we must remember that our conciousness must be renewed or we will do what we have always done and get what we always got.
So let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus, and let us not allow our selves to conform to the ways and wants of the world but let us be transformed, totally changed in the way we walk and talk by the renewing of our minds!
We would love to hear from you on this subject so please write your thoughts and opinions and suggestions in our Guest Book. We will review your reply and publish them God willing!
Peace and Love.
Also, your suggestions of scripture study can drive us to share them with our Internet bible study family that is growing by leaps and bounds!
Our Position Statement
We are a Non-Denominational ministry we are not an accept all and tolerate anything ministry. We are compelled to share this fact so that no single denomination can lay claim to walk in fellowship with us just because our doctrines may be similar. We do not believe in dividing the people of God through doctrinal statements; nevertheless we are convinced that the Word of God, unadulterated, undiluted and "straight with no chaser" is the only ground we can securely stand on. We therefore without hesitation follow the Apostolic Doctrine of Jesus Christ and that is fully and firmly the fulfillment of the Old Testament through the Birth, Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and through His Radical Grace and Love we are free, saved and eternally sealed and safe in our salvation. Thank you for visiting our web site and we again welcome your letters, emails calls and suggestions as we move forward in the Unity of The Spirit and His Radical Grace!
